The Missing Parts are an acoustic quartet from Tucson, Arizona comprised of violin, lap-steel guitar, cello, and guitar. Our songs are true collaborations, spun from improvisation.
Our mission statement is to entertain listeners, to guide sonic travelers on journeys to extraordinary soundscapes dotted with unexpected wonders, odd humor, and emotions both raw and refined.

Paul Wright, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, plays an original, intensely percussive style of acoustic guitar inspired by Flamenco, Tango, Balkan, Russian, Indian, and Heavy Metal chord progressions and rhythms.
Douglas Francisco, a native of East Tennessee, has musical roots in both Blues and Heavy Metal. He plays a National lap-steel guitar, usually in an open D-minor tuning. His style is original and entirely self-taught.
Brian Hullfish quit cello at age thirteen after tragically crashing into a retaining wall and bursting into flames during a Suzuki recital/time trial in Brockport, NY. Against all odds he is back behind the strings again, making them vibrate not only up and down, but also left and right.
Oliver Blaylock is a classically-trained violinist who has been playing violin and tricks since age six. Inspirations include Jascha Heifetz, Shostakovich, Stephane Grapelli, Joe Venuti, Niccolo Paganini and art supplies.
